Philip Salmoni, an Egyptian by birth and a bishop of the Catholic church, addressed the stu- dents. During his lecture which was given in the school auditorium, the | bishop explained why, the unity of the || | church is maintained, though there is || a difference in the eastern and western rites. He drew a vivid picture of the eastern civilization and explained many of the customs of the Mohammedans, including their great respect for their elders, which kept the students in- tently interested. Previously to the lecture the bishop celebrated Mass in the convent, wear- ing the gorgeous vestments of the eastern church. D. A. R. MEETS HERE North Shore chapter, Daughters of American Revolution, met Thursday for the first time this season at the home of Mrs. C. A. Winston, 699 Sheridan road, Wilmette. Mrs, Wil- liam J. Sweeney of Rock Island, the state regent, was guest of honor at this, the annual luncheon. Mrs. Charles E. Herrick former state regent, gave a talk on "D. A. R. Ideals," and the chapter's regent, Mrs. N. G. Lenington of Highland Park, gave an address of welcome. Wisconsin Utility Body Honors North Shore Man Henry C.
