ar r------ t - October 29, 1927 WINNETKA TALK ORCHESTRAL CONCERTS TO BEGIN NOVEMBER 14 Artists of World-wide Reputa- tion to Appear with Sym- phony This Winter The sixth concert season of the Little Symphony orchestra concerts under the auspices of the New Trier Orchestral association will be inaug- urated Monday, November 14. As has been the custom during past seasons, the concerts this year will be given both in the afternoon and evening in the New Trier High school auditorium. For the evening series soloists of world-wide reputation have been en- gaged for all but the opening concert, thus adding interest and beauty to these programs which, under the di- rection of George Dasch, have, during the past season, ranked with the best north shore musical events. The eve- ning concerts will begin promptly at | 8:15 o'clock and will conclude at 10:30. | The first will, as announced, be given on November 14, the second, Decem ber 5; February 6, and the last, March 1. The size of the orchestra makes it possible to offer in the afternoon series, programs of the widest range and an exceptional opportunity is given for the cultivation in children of a the third, January 2; the fourth, | taste for the best in music.' In view of | this fact north shore school children attending the concerts will be excused from classes on the four concert after- noons. Attendance is required of all | New Trier High school freshmen as | a part of their required course in music appreciation. The concerts, which start at 2:30 and are concluded by 3:30, will be given on the after- noons of November 14, December 5, | February 6, and March 1. Foster of 812 Oak- wood avenue, Wilmette, will motor down to Champaign tomorrow for the Illinois-Michigan game.
