The auditorium was artistically decorated with cornstalks, autumn foliage, and Jack o' Lanterns, which made an ideal setting for the lads and lassies who were dressed in farmer costumes. Dancing and various games occupied the evening until the customary Hal- lowe'en refreshments were served. The hostesses were Stella Pahlman, Vivi- anna Tarnow, Clara Meter, Olive Oelerich and Marian Pearson. The party was preceded by the regu- lar monthly meeting at which plans were made by which the nucleus of a library will be secured, the library to be used by the pupils of St. Francis Xavier school.
