Adams St., Chicago A partment Building Costing $410,000 Is Evanston's Newest Work has started on a seven story apartment building at 1519 Hinman avenue, Evanston, just south of Davis street and next to the Georgian hotel, which it is stated will represent a total investment in land and building of $410,000. Holzer, Inc. has underwrit- ten a $245,000 first mortgage bond issue. The building is being erected and was designed by Frank W. Cauley, Chicago architect. It'll have fifteen apartments, fourteen of which will consist of seven rooms and three baths. The first floor will have a large lobby. There'll be a garage in the rear for fourteen cars. Wonder what the poor car owner will do who has that 15th apartment, which, by the way, seems to be rather mysterious. The owner doesn't tell where it is or how many rooms it'll have. Anyway, the roof of the garage is designed so that it can be made into a garden with a fountain, etc. This will be below the first floor windows. | Face brick will be used on all sides. Idea to your driveway-- Now! You've heard how an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure... Well, this has bear- ing on vour driveway. By applying a top dressing, all small holes and crevices are filled, thereby preventing water collecting and freezing. You know what damage the WINNETKA TEAMING & SUPPLY CO. freezing and thawing does; how gradually but surely your driveway becomes a series of "shellholes." By spring the consequences are serious, and very much more miniature costly to repair than dressing put on now. Call us today for an estimate. LawrencelJ.
