Lindquist, of 911 Roscoe street, Chicago, was killed Tuesday afternoon at 4 o'clock when he fell from a limb of a tree which he and Nels Anderson, of 1108 Ash street, Win- netka, were cutting down at 659 Locust road. Dr. Frank W. Blatchford was sum- moned, but Lindquist, whose skull was fractured, was dead before he arrived. The remains were removed to the Lewis Funeral parlors at 1124 Central avenue, Wilmette, where a coroner's inquest was held Wednesday morning. Mr. Lindquist was 47 years of age. He was born in Sweden, where his mother now resides. He came to this country 15 years ago. The only other surviving member of the family is a sister, Mrs. Anna Nelson, residing in Ridgedale, Saskatchewan, Canada, word from whom is being awaited be- fore completing arrangements for the funeral. LOSES FATHER BY DEATH Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Hilton Scrib- ner, Jr., 812 Ash street, left for Rye, N. Y. Saturday, December 3, to attend the funeral of Mr. Scribner's father who passed away Sunday, December 4, at the age of 66 years. Services were held in Rye Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Scribner returned yesterday. Mrs. J. Barney, who is president of this province of the Kappa Kappa Gamma, visited the Upsilon chapter of Northwestern over the week-end. She was the guest of honor at its Christ- mas formal, December 2, and also at a bridge and tea given in her honor at the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority house. A Sunday dinner also was given in her honor. John S. Millers Lose Daughter, Joan, by Death Miss Joan Miller, nine-year-old daughter of former Village President and Mrs. John S. Miller of 700 Rose- wood avenue, died Monday at the Chil- dren's hospital in Boston. She had been ill since May with heart trouble. Her parents and her older sister, Ju- dith, were with her at her death. The funeral services and burial were Wed- nesday in Boston, with the parents and sister and an aunt, Mrs. Allen' Dickson of Chicago, present. Memorial services are being held this afternoon at o'clock, at the home. Besides her parents and older sister, Joan leaves a younger sister, Portia, and a brother, John. Kate Crandall Raclin Is Taken by Death Wednesday Kate Crandall Raclin, well known impressario, passed away at the Grant hospital, Chicago, Wednesday morn- ing from gangrene poisoning resulting from injuries she received November 28, when she was struck by a motor bus at Granville avenue and Sheridan road, Chicago. Services were held yes- terday afternoon and burial was at Rosehill. Miss Raclin is the sister of Hymen L. Raclin of 528 Elder lane, and had many friends in Winnetka. She was well known and well loved in operatic circles and was the Chicago manager for Chaliapin and Muratore. Mr. and Mrs. John B.
