John Stahl! never fails to insert all the little hu- man interest touches which make sto- ries seem real and not the figment of somebody's imagination. Thomas Meighan has played 1n underworld stories before, but he has never had a crook vehicle as powerful or vivid as "The City Gone Wild," Paramount's new melodrama, which will be presented on Sunday. "Get Your Man" with Clara Bow as the featured star will be the at- traction on Monday and Tuesday. "The Wizard," playing on Wednes- day only, is based on the sensational French play, "Balaco," by Gaston Leroux and is the story of an eccen- tric scientist who humanizes an ape to do his bidding and to revenge him for fancied wrongs. Thrills, mystery, suspense and a fine love interest hold the audience every moment during the showing of the picture, while the com- pany relief furnished by the two dar- kies in the role of house servants brings much laughter which relieves the tension of the more sombre moments of this picture.
