It is to be erected at the southwest corner of Michigan and Lee streets, Evanston, by a syndicate of which N. J. Lareau is the head. Designed by Frank W. Cauley, the structure is to be of Georgian archi- tecture. The entrance will be through a court, the ground of which will be done in the style of a formal Italian garden. Construction is to be semi-fireproof. The street elevations will be of face brick, with a liberal use of cut stone for trim. The building, which is to be known as the Michigan-ILee apartments, will contain three seven room flats with three baths, three six room flats with two baths, fifteen five room flats with two baths, and three four room flats. Each apartment will have a natural wood-burning fireplace in the living room, and electrical refrigeration will form a part of the equipment. And there will be a playroom for children in the basement. Another convenience will be ten automobile garages. W. A. MARTIN LEASES HOME W. A. Plan for Extension of Lincoln Pk. Along N.S. Is Interesting Residents of Wilmette, Winnetka, Glencoe and other north shore villages are interested in the plan evolved by the Chicago City council which if con- summated would result in the exten-' sion of Lincoln park through all north shore suburbs as far as the Illinois state line. A resolution was passed favoring the plan and the next step will be a conference in which officials of all the north shore suburbs will be asked to attend, with a view of pre- senting the question to the legislature. The resolution was sponsored by Alderman Massen who said: "The astonishing improvements made by the south park board along the south shore have shown the value of unified control of the lake front. It is the logical thing for the Lincoln park board to control the entire north shore district." Extension of the park outside of Chi- cago will present two major difficulties, he explained: first to secure consent of the upstate communities: and second to sell the plan to the legislature. It would be necessary for the latter body to enact a bill giving the park all riparian rights to the north. Creation of new land along the entire distance would be merely a matter of time, Ald. Massen thinks. Ward C. Pearl Is Buyer of Arbor Vitae Vacant The Northern Trust Co., of Chicago, has conveyed to Ward C.
