Mrs. Bentley McCloud, Kenilworth avenue, entertained her bridge club on Wednesday of this week. Over the week-end she had as her guests, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Olmsted and their baby from Milwaukee, Wis. ? --0-- Mrs. Frank Cherry, Abbottsford road, Kenilworth, entertained her luncheon and sewing club on Monday of this week. MUSIC CLUB MEETING The Senior Music club of New Trier High school met Thursday, April 12 at the home of Delma Caldwell, 930 Linden avenue, Wilmette. The meet- ing of the Junior Music club was post- poned until Monday, April 23. FATHER-SON BANQUET The Father and Son banquet of the New Trier boys will take place April 26. All "New Trier Dads" have been notified to save that date. The negative team of New Trier consisting of Frank Gilchrist, Peggy Galagher, and David Schmid met the affirmative team of Morton at New Trier, while the affir- mative team of New Trier traveled to Morton to meet Morton's negative team there. The question for debate was "The McNary-Haugen Bill." ALPHA PHI BENEFIT Alumnae of Alpha Phi sorority of Northwestern university announce a benefit bridge party at the Evanston Woman's club Monday, April 23, at 2:30. Mrs. N. A. Hanna, of Wilmette, will provide spring frocks from her shop in Wilmette in which members of the active chapter will model in a style show during the course of the afternoon. There will be prizes and refreshments. Tickets may be pur- chased from members of the active chapter or from alumnae. School of Speech Prom Revived After 4 Years One of the last formal events of the Northwestern social calendar, the school of speech prom, takes place at the Evanston Woman's club tomor- row evening. Plans have been made to make this a brilliant affair as the prom is being held for the first time since four years ago. The club will be elaborately decor- ated, and unique lighting features have been prepared. Cope Harvey's orches- tra from the Stevens hotel will fur- nish the music. Miss Naomi Merlien, chairman of the committee in charge, and Miss Katherine Hicks, will lead the wings of the promenade. On the committee are: Miss June Fellows, 848 Ridge avenue, Miss Helen The- lien, Miss Ruth Charowski, Miss Bonita Humphrey, Miss Billie Rinken- berger, Douglas Brwvant and Rolley Myers. Mr. and Mrs. Byron V. Kanaley of 682 Ardsley road have returned home from White Sulphur Springs, where they spent a two weeks' vacation.
