T. Photography Contest First place in the photography con- test conducted by the Lens club of New Trier High school recently under the direction of H. H. Herron, faculty sponsor of the club, was awarded by the judges last Tuesday to Joseph Riddle, 995 Oak street, Winneka. The picture, an unusual one, was taken just east of Sunset Ridge Country club located west of Winnetka. It will be published in next week's issue of this paper. Second prize in the contest was awarded to Richard Rossman for a photograph "snapped" just off the Glenview road near the North Shore Golf club. An engraving of this pic- ture was carried in the March 24 issue. Honorable mention was given to David Riddle, a brother of Joseph. More than a hundred pictures were entered in the contest, many of them of outstanding quality, and the judges experienced considerable difficulty in making their selections. The judges were B. E. Christensen of Hattstrom and Sanders of Evanston, Miss Kath- erine Murphy of the New Trier faculty, and H. A. Armstrong of Lloyd Hollister Inc. Consider Restriction of Dividing Residence Lots A new classification for certain resi- dential areas in the village into what is proposed as "AA" residential, is being considered by the Winnetka Zoning Commission. The larger residential tracts, particularly on the east side of Sheridan road, are principally affected. A growing tendency to subdivide such tracts into building lots much smaller than adjoining sites, is given as the cause of consideration of this re- striction. PURCHASE INHALATOR Village Manager H. IL. Woolhiser was authorized by the Village Coun- cil Tuesday evening to purchase a portable H-H inhalator, a resuscitation device which the Fire department has been investigating and approves. Its cost is $185.
