B. Kreig, building inspector. The previous year held the record up to that time, with a total of $2,637,554. During the year ending March 31, last, permits were issued for 85 new residences, costing $1,637,300; 110 for garages, $155990; 19 for commercial buildings, $662,700; 1, listed as public, $75,000 and 61 alterations, $253,400.
