Tenney and the Village council to check the threat- ened epidemic of rabies among the canines of the village. H. L. Raclin, member of the Village council, addressing the association, said if the present muzzling proclamation, recently issued by President Tenney did not prove effective, more drastic measures will be taken. He also informed the association that traffic lights are to be erected on Sheridan road at Elder lane, the same to be operated up to 9 o'clock at night. Members of the executive committee elected to serve one year are, Arlan W. Converse, Edward A. Anderson, Tuthill Ketcham, A. E. Bryson; for two years, Felix Lowy, William A. Snyder, Ralph Kraetsch, Dudley XK. French; three years, William S. Nord- berg, Lee Walker, H. L. Raclin, R. J. Darby. Mrs. Bertha D. Rossiter, of Pomona, California, who is visiting at the home of her brother, Coram Davis, and who attended the meeting, sang a number of selections. TO SPEND SUMMER ABROAD Mrs. Frank Blatchford, 32 Indian Hill road, and her two sons will leave Winnetka on June 11, and sail four days later to spend the summer in England and on the continent. Mrs. Blatchford's daughter, Mrs. Ludlow Sebring Fowler of New York, will also be traveling in Europe and the two parties will meet. Mr. Blatchford is hoping to be able to join his family %% | later in the summer. Miss Edith Hand to Wed Edmundo Guevara Saturday The wedding of Miss Edith Hand of Beloit, Wis., and Edmundo Guevara of Chile, South America, who is the brother of Mrs. Harry C. Watts of 434 Elder lane, is to take place this after- noon at 4 o'clock at the Winnetka Congregational church with the Rev. Firman Herbert of Oak Park officiat- ing. A reception will follow at Mrs. Watts' residence. Mr. and Mrs. Juan Braun, a sister and brother-in-law of the groom, are also here from Chile for the wedding. They are accompanied by their four children and are staying with Mrs. Watts. There will be two small flower girls at the wedding, Olguita Braun and Henrietta Watts, and Mrs. Harry C. Watts is to be matron of honor. The bridesmaids will be Mrs Firman Her- bert and Miss Ulrich of Kenosha. Mr. Guevara has asked Harry C. Watts to be best man and the ushers include Robert Gary of Wheaton, Edward Ball of Winnetka, Robert Watts of Evanston and Leo Perron of Win- netka. The bride and groom will make their home in Boston where they are at- tending college. TO VISIT HONOLULU Miss Leila Withers returned yester- day from Dobbs Ferry where she has been in school during the past winter. Miss Withers is leaving Winnetka again on June 26, with her family, Mr. and Mrs. Allen I. Withers and sister, Allene, to sail on June 30, for Honolulu.
