SCENE just such as that pictured here will be re-enacted within a few days at the Winnetka Community House Indian Hill Summer camp located on the shores of Hamlin lake near Ludington, Mich. They will go by rail to Milwaukee and by boat ~ from that point to Ludington from whence the motor bus will 8 take them into camp several miles | away. | "Chief" Davies, director of Community House and general _ supervisor of the summer camps sponsored by the Center, has been at Lake Hamlin for several days For nearly three weeks these youngsters will know the joy of the out-of-doors, the freedom of the great open spaces. the mys- | tery of the northern forests. They © will have the fun of work and play together, of happy companionship | with other boys, and of a close touch with an experienced direc- tor and counselors. Good food, long hours of rest in the pine- laden air, hikes, swimming and sports will send them back home sturdy and tanned. This of itself is worth-while, but this particular camp offers more than that. Through a carefully directed program and close compan nship, the emphasis is put on character and leadership, on initiative and resourcefulness. "Chief" Davies' interest 1 boys and his ability as their leader is well known. The counselors who are to assist in the camp are Dr. George Eisenbrand and Robert Doepel, Scout- masters; the Rev. Paul Reynolds, Ayres Boal, Jr, and one other, to be announced later. The boys arrive home from camp Saturday morning, July 7. A group of girl campers leaves for camp Monday, July 9. Mrs. Bruce MacLeish of 85 Went- worth avenue, Glencoe, who went east to attend the Tree Day ceremony at Wellesley college, where her daughter, Miss Jean, had an important part, is still east, where she will remain about two weeks longer. Northmoor Club Is to Show Fairbanks Picture The Sunday moving picture at the Northmoor Country club tomorrow will be Douglas Fairbanks in "Gaucho." This evening will be a feature party on the "S. S. Northmoor."
