The occasion was the first annual festival of the St. Francis foundation. A glimpse of the festive scene is shown below, with the luncheon booth in the foreground. In the upper picture is seen the doll booth with some of the children who surrounded it all afternoon. This booth was in charge of Mrs. N. Picard and Mrs. R. J. Sackley, assisted by Mrs. George Picard, Shirley Cawkwell and Priscilla Jones. North Shore Line Announces Special Sunday Excursions Special excursion trains are being operated by the Chicago North Shore and Milwaukee railroad each Sunday during the summer months between Chicago and Kenosha, Racine and Milwaukee, Wis. The excursion spe- cials were inaugurated Sunday, June 17, with trains leaving Chicago and Milwaukee early in the morning and making the return trips late in the evening. The northbound excursion train leaves Roosevelt road at 8:25 (Chicago time) each Sunday morning, receiving passengers at Adams and Wabash sta- tion in the loop at 8:30; Grand avenue at 8:35; Wilson avenue at 8:50; How- ard street at 8:57, and Dempster street, Niles Center, at 9:04. It will arrive at Kenosha at 8:52 (Standard time); Ra- cine at 9:07, and Milwaukee terminal at 9:40. Standard time in Wisconsin cities gives visitors from Chicago an extra hour advantage on the north- bound trip. On the return trip the excursion special leaves Milwaukee downtown terminal, Sixth and Michigan streets, Sunday night at 7:15 (Standard time) ; Racine at 7:49, and Kenosha at 8 o'clock, arriving in the Chicago loop at 10:25 (Chicago time).
