An ordinance providing for the pro- posed change was ordered engrossed and posted, by the Village council, Tuesday evening, and referred to the Zoning commission for a public hear- ing. The matter was brought before the council by Trustee W. B. Moulton, in the form of a resolution. ANNOUNCE SERMON THEME "A Voice in the Wilderness" will be the theme of the sermon given tomor- row morning at Christ Episcopal church by the Rev. E. Ashley Ger- hard, rector. The service begins at 11 o'clock. KETTLE OF TROUBLE The Winnetka Fire department was called to Elm and Maple Thursday morning to extinguish a blazing kettle of tar, which was being heated for the purpose of doing some street repair work. There were about 10 gallons of tar in the kettle, enough to make quite a "flash." CIRCLE VISITS LAUNDRY Thirty members and friends of the Walden road circle made an inspec- tion of the Nelson laundry last Wed- nesday.
