All are so. "Russian Revolution" Will Be Depicted at Playhouse No event in the history of the world has started such a mass of contradic- tory stories as the revolution in Russia. Every factor in every nation has dis- torted the facts to suit its own pur- pose. Now for the first time, an au- thenic, unbiased documental motion picture history of the event has come to the screen. It is called, suitably enough, "The Russian Revolution" and will open for a limited engagement at the Playhouse, 410 South Michigan boulevard, beginning Sunday, July 1. Students, Visitors Keep Tennis Courts in Use The tennis courts at the New Trier Township High school are kept in constant use by the summer school students and by visitors when, the weather makes playing impossible. A nominal charge is made for outsiders who play on the courts. This is to cover the cost of upkeep. WINS TENNIS TOURNEY Indian Hill Golf club completed its. early season tennis tournament for the women and junior girls. Follow- ing are the results of the tournament. Boal, 6-3, 6-0. Misses Grace and Marian Putnam of Library Trustees Meet in Evanston to Discuss Laws Mrs. Karl King and Mrs. L. F. Gates, of the Wilmette library board, Mrs. Carrie B. Prouty, E. R. Lewis, and D. K. French from the Winnetka board, and O. R. Barnett and H. P. Pope from the Glencoe board were among those who attended a dinner meeting given by the Evanston public library board last Thursday evening in the fountain room of the North Shore hotel, Evanston. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the question of library legisla- tion in the state and to consider the responsibilities of library trustees. Mrs. A. W. Errett, president of the Illinois Library association, Theodore W. Koch, librarian at Northwestern university, and M. F. Gallagher, of Evanston, were the speakers. C. R. Kappes, president of 'the Evanston board, presided at the meeting. F. E. CLERK RETURNS Frederick E. Clerk, superintendent of the New Trier High school, return- ed to his office at the high school Tuesday morning after a trip through some of the eastern states. Ray Davis, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. Heath Davis, 1376 Asbury avenue, left on Monday, June 25, for a two weeks' stay at Camp Checaugau, Mich., while his brother, Edwin Robert Davis, left on Sunday, June 24, to spend two weeks at Phantom Lake, Wis. 514 Birch street, sailed on Saturday, w= Oeen June 23, for Europe. They will visit| Miss Elizabeth Lamson, daughter of England, France, Spain, Italy, Ger-|Mr. and Mrs. W. Lamson, 940 many, and Holland. After their so- journ in the countries of Europe, they will return to their Winnetka home on September 1.
