A. Christiansen of Wilmette, to Leslie Harry Huettman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Huettman of Wilmette, formerly of Evanston, took place re- cently. Mr. Huettman and his bride sailed from New York June 22, on the S. S. Carmania, for a summer's travel in Europe, visiting France, Italy, Ger- many, Switzerland, Holland, and Eng- land. Upon their return they will re- side in Wilmette. Mrs. Van Schaack, Patroness of Arts, Taken by Death Mrs. Beatrice Harding Van Schaack, wife of Cornelius P. Van Schaack of the wholesale drug concern of Peter Van Schaack & Sons, died Tuesday, June 26, at her home, 614 Linden ave- nue, Wilmette, after an illness of sev- eral weeks. She was fifty-four years old. Surviving her are her husband and two sons, Harding, who attends Cor- nell university, and Cornelius Jr, a student at the University of Illinois. Attorney Victor Harding, of 789 Burr avenue, Winnetka, and George F. Harding, treasurer of Cook county, are her brothers. Two sisters also survive her. The one, Mrs. Bruce Palmer, lives in Washington, D. C,, and the other is Mrs. Adelaide Hard- ing Vincent, of Chicago. Funeral services were held at the residence at 9 o'clock Wednesday morning, and burial was at Monmouth, Ill. Henry Van Schaack, of Denver, Colo., a nephew of Mrs. Schaack, came to Wilmette for her funeral. Mrs. Van Schaack was the daughter of George F. Harding, well known Chicago capitalist of a generation ago. For years she had been a patroness of music and art in Chicago. She was a member of the Fortnightly club and the Arts club there, and of the Evanston French club. She was a zealous worker and was at one time chairman of the committee in Wilmette which helped in establishing the Rav- inia opera. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Zipf have sold their home at 243 Warwick road, Kenilworth and have moved to 1519 Hinman avenue, Evanston, where they have taken an apartment.
