I It was largely through | BS the efforts of Mr. McClure that the Wilmette Sunday Evening club has brought to the north shore outstand- ing leaders in religious, edu- cational, and scientific fields, as well as internationally | knowgn musical organiza- | tions. He has been presi- | dent of the club since its inception thirteen years ago and has been a prominent figure in Wilmette civic life during that time. Mr. McClure has made out of the Wilmette Sunday Evening club one of the most unique organizations of its kind in the country, and one which has served as a model for similar clubs in other cities. The Wilmette club and the Chicago Sunday Evening club are pioneers in the I field. ne Besides Mr. McClure several other north shore men were elected to the board of governors of the International Advertising association. They in- clude: Walter Strong, of Winnetka, publisher of the Chicago Daily News, John Benson, also of Winnetka, president of the American Association of Advertising Agencies, and O. C. Harn, of Evanston, head of the Audit Bu- reau of Circulation. The board is composed of seventeen members.
