September 1, 1928 WINNETKA TALK Men Invite to Their Very Own Flower Exhibit A flower exhibit of surpassing inter- est is to be held at the Sherman hotel Friday and Saturday, September 7 and 8, under the sponsorship of the Men's Garden club of the Chicago area, which includes in its membership many amateur gardeners among the men of the north shore. Competition at the exhibit will be in terms of quality of blooms rather than txtensive varieties and color arrange- ments, according to M. D. White of Winnetka, an amateur gardener of note who has taken many awards in previous exhibits in the Chicago neigh- borhood. This exhibit, Mr. White explains, will emphasize the production of high quality flowers rather than color de- signs. Residents of the north shore, and particularly those who are interested in flower culture, have been urgently invited to attend the Sherman hotel exhibit.
