Ramon Novarro in "Forbidden Hours" At Teatro Sunday Ramon Novarro, who has given the world the young hero of "Ben Hur," the pathetic prince of "The Student Prince," and many other historic roles of the screen appears at the Teatro del Lago this Sunday, Septem- ber 2, in one of the most interesting portrayals of his career in "Forbidden Hours." The picture tells the story of a young ruler of a mythical king- dom--it might be any young king in FEurope--struggling against tradition, court intrigue, international diplomacy, and even the political marriage that every king must eventually face. The love story revolves about the king and his sweetheart, a commoner, played by Renee Adoree, and shows how the wearer of a crown is torn between his love and his duty to his country." "Jazz Mad" is the name of the pic- ture in which Jean Hersholt will star at the Teatro del Lago next Monday. Mr. Hersholt has been credited with numerous characterizations that have elicited the praise of critics. His role of Franz Hausmann in "Jazz. Mad," however, exceeds anything he has done before, either in this country or in Denmark, where he first achieved fame on the screen. Marian Nixon and George Lewis provide the love element of "Jazz Mad." Men who braved death on many war fronts, a troop of hard-riding Cos- sacks soldiers who fought for the Czar and with the White Army, traveled from Europe to turn screen actors when they rode with John Gilbert in "The Cossacks," spectacular epic of Russia, coming to the Teatro Tuesday and Wednesday of next week. These men stage the thrilling Cossack rides and sensational battles in the picture. Renee Adoree plays the role of the heroine opposite John Gilbert. Estate North Loans property 5 N.
