Schacht of Racine, Wis. will be mar- ried next Friday evening at the home of her parents, The ceremony will be read at 8:30 o'clock and a reception will follow immediately. Miss Katherine Smits of Baltimore, Md. is coming to be Miss Stoker's maid of honor and three small nieces and a nephew will be flower girls and ring bearer. Dr, Schacht has asked Dr. Edward Schacht of Detroit to 'be the best man and the ushers will be Leroy Stoker, a brother of the bride, and Milton Schacht of Racine, a bro- ther of the groom. Fisher, 1060 Sheridan road, are sailing on September 6, from Van- couver, B. C. for Tokyo, Japan, in company with Mrs. Fisher's parents' Dr. and Mrs. Lafayette Page of Chi- cago. Mrs. Fisher (Miss Ruth Page) dancer of the Ravinia Opera company, will dance at the coronation ceremon- ies at the Japanese Imperial theater in Tokyo. Following these ceremonies she will give performances in India and Europe. Miss Page is the only occidental dancer invited to dance at the ceremonies in Tokyo. Designate Center Street Preferential Traffic Way | An ordinance designating Center street between Cherry street and Sun- set road, both inclusive, as a prefer- ential traffic street, and providing the necessary stop regulations, was passed by the Village council Tuesday eve- ning. This action was taken following recommendations by the streets, drain- age and forestry committee, of which Trustee H. IL. Raclin is chairman, and presented to the council a few weeks ago. Mr. and Mrs. R. F. Hyman and their daughter; Barbara, are again at their home - at 630 Garland avenue after their trip east. Mrs. Hyman and Bar- bara were away five weeks and spent most of the time at Spring Lake, N. J. where Mr. Hyman met them.
