Winn. 617 HUBBARD WOODS Zoning Ordinances Go Before Commissioners The Village council started all over again at its meeting Tuesday evening on the amending ordinances providing for the rezoning of the northwest cor- ner of Elm street and Arbor Vitae road, from "A" residential to "C" com- mercial, and the designation of certain territory in the village as "AA" resi- dential districts. The two amending ordinances were ordered engrossed and posted and re- ferred to the Zoning commission, They had previously passed through these stages, but at the last meeting of the council, when passage was voted upon, there was not a necessary ma- jority present and voting for them .o insure adoption, Skull Fractured in Auto Accident at Cambridge, O. Mrs. Eugene Leslie, of 664 Lincoln avenue, is in the Cambridge, O., hos- pital suffering from a fractured skull as a result of an automobile accident near Cambridge in which the entire Leslie family was thrown into the ditch. Other. members of the family, not so seriously injured, are conva- lescing at a Cambridge hotel. The Leslies were motoring to Pittsburgh to spend their vacation. TO OCCUPY SHAW HOME Mr. and Mrs. George Everitt and family of 1035 Dinsmore road are mov- ing October 1, to the Arch W. Shaw house at 50 Locust road for the winter while their new house being built next door to the Shaw property is being completed. Mr. and Mrs. Shaw are taking an apartment on Lake Shore drive. Mr. and Mrs. Harry C. Edmonds of 670 Blackthorn road and daughter, Betty, are on a motor trip east. Noted Pianist Will Give Instruction in Winnetka Added stimulus to the musical life of Winnetka is promised in the forma- tion of a class here this fall by Earle B. Armil, Chicago pianist. Mr. Armil, who was heard in private recital here last December, at the home of Mrs. Edgar Crilly, 375 Sheridan road, has been assistant to Silvio Scionti, the well known pianist-peda- gogue of the American Conservatory, for the past five years. Prior to his association with Mr. Scionti, Mr. Armil had been an honor student of Rudolph Reuter, and more recently was an honor student of the famous artist, Josef Lhevinne. Mr. Armil is considered one of the most interesting personalities in the new generation of Chicago musicians. His activities are many-sided, as he is not only an excellent pianist, but also a composer and singer as well. Several of his musical works have been per- formed in public by leading musicians. He has also been singing under Eric Del.amarter at the Fourth Presby- terian church in Chicago. Mr. Armil will give private lessons in piano one or two days a week in Winnetka, and will specialize in the training of talented children, whose parents wish them to have early access to the most progressive principles of piano playing, in reference to general musical culture. HOME FROM RANCH Mrs. W. A. Lamson and her three daughters, Elizabeth, Virginia, and Jean, of 940 Sheridan road, returned recently from Sunlight Ranch, Wyo, where they spent two months. Miss Elizabeth left last Wednesday for Pocono Hockey Camp in the Pocono mountains near Philadelphia.
