May Widen Street Intersection to Minimize Hazard Village Manager H. L. Woolhiser has been authorized by the Village council to take immediate action, in the matter of reducing the danger to traffic, particularly pedestrians, at Lake street and Scott avenue, where a serious accident occurred a short time ago. In the meantime more deliberate consideration by the council will be given to a plan of widening the streets at this intersection. The re- moval of some trees and shrubs on the parkway are steps which it was said the village manager may take now, pending the consideration of a street widening project. The matter was brought to the at- tention of the council in the form of a petition presented by Arthur Bur- rage Farwell which contained signa- tures of sixty interested property owners.
