7A September 22, 1928 WINNETKA TALK Ihe i --- -- Gertrude M. Bleser, Clarence M. Braun Wed at St. Joseph's Miss Gertrude Mary Bleser became the bride of Clarence M. Braun at 9:30 o'clock Thursday morning at St. Joseph's church, Wilmette. Mrs. Braun is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph J. Bleser of Glenview road and Mr. Braun is the son of Mr. and Mrs. P. H. Braun of Evanston. The cere- mony, which was performed by the Rev. Father Newman, was followed by a wedding breakfast at the Georgian hotel, Evanston, and a reception at the home of the bride. The bride's gown was of white trans- parent velvet with a straight blouse, tight girdle, and uneven hemline. Her veil was of tulle held by a cap of lace. The shower bouquet was of white dahlias, valley lilies, and sweet peas. The bridesmaids, Miss Clarissa Engles and Miss Beatrice Braun, sis- ter of the groom, and the maid of hon- or, Miss Theresa Bleser, sister of the bride, wore dresses in autumn colors with hats and shoes to match and car- ried bouquets of gladioli and tea roses. The bride's mother wore gray georg- ette and the bridegroom's mother wore green georgette. Raymond F. Braun acted as best man and the ushers were Joseph Bleser and Wilbur Ludwig. Mr. and Mrs. Braun are motoring through the East on their honeymoon and will be at home after October 1, at the Lin- den Crest apartments. Mr. Braun is assistant manager of the Braun Brothers Oil company of Winnetka. Mrs. Irving Odell, 669 Walden road, her children, and her mother, Mrs. Malcolm Jamieson, returned Tuesday from East Brewster, Mass., where they had spent the summer. Cazel of 860 Pine street. The marriage took place on August 18. Mr. and Mrs. Cazel have motored south on theirs honeymoon and after October 1, will reside in Win- netka. W. J. Fisher's family returned to their home at 388 Chestnut street last Saturday after spending three months at Gilmore Lake, Minong, Wis. ANNOUNCES WEDDING DATE Miss Anne Kelly, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Kelly of 1071 Ash street has chosen October 17, as the day of her wedding to Edgar Greene- wald, Jr., of Highland Park. The ceremony will be read at 9 in the morning at Sacred Heart church in Hubbard Woods and will be followed by a reception to be held at the home of the bride's parents. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Mehlhope and their daughter, Ruth, of 300 Woodland avenue, returned recently after visiting at Long Lake, near Phelps, Wis., for some time.
