Announces Sales In Estates Area Three sales during the past week in Indian Hill Estates are reported by Bills Realty Inc., as follows: An acre and a half of wooded property has been purchased by Mr. and Mrs. William C. Black of 2300 Lincolnwood drive, Evanston. M. L. Olson was the broker. Plans for an English home are being prepared and Bills Bros. Inc., are to build. Mr. and Mrs. Roy F. Best of 1121 Lake avenue, Wilmette, have purchased a three-quarter acre estate on Romona road. Plans are being completed for a nine-room Colonial, a feature of which will be a large studio room. Mr. Best is a well known commercial artist. Jirah Cole was the broker. Construction al- ready has been begun by Bills Bros. Inc. A large lawn (100x210 feet) on Sen- eca road has been acquired by Mr. and Mrs. Robert W. Dierker of 1178 Cherry street, Winnetka. George Fred Keck of Chicago has designed an unusual eight- room house of "farm-house" motif, of skintled brick construction with full range of color in the thatched slate roof. R. R. Rippberger was the broker. Bills Bros. Inc., are to begin construction with- in the next thirty days. Build Bleachers at New Trier; Season Opens on Saturday "Duke" Childs, director of athletics at New Trier High school, announced this week that the new bleachers to be con- structed on the athletic field back of the main building will he adequate to handle the large crowds which are expected to to attend the New Trier games this year. Fifteen hundred additional seats will be available, Mr. Childs stated. New Trier opens its football season next Saturday, October 6, on the home field against Lakeview. Two hundred boys are out for football regularly, and 125 more are clamoring for suits, accord- ing to the coaches. Arrangements have been made to purchase some additional suits. The chief problem at present, accord- ing to Coach Ashenbach, is the develop- ing of new material, since the hard sched- ule is expected to cause numerous in- juries to the regular squad. Paul Youngberg, guard, pulled his shoulder out of socket in a recent practice. George Dewar, fullback, is also on the injured list. Two second string halfbacks, "Bibby" Connor and "Bud" Clabaugh, are going good, Coach Ashenbach stated this week. Women of Rotary Hold Meeting on North Shore A special business meeting of the North Shore group of Women of the Rotary club of Chicago, was held at the home of Mrs. Frank D. Fulton, 884 Hill road, Winnetka, on Wednesday of this past week. Luncheon was served at 1 o'clock. This organization meets to do sewing 'or charity, and now is planning its work for the coming season. Mrs. Frank Burpee of Wilmette and Mrs. Sherman S. Chapell of Evanston are co-chairmen of the group this year. Mrs. Walter W. Steiner of Evanston is secre- tary and treasurer. The regular meet- ings are held twice a month. ANNOUNCE SERMON TOPIC The Rev. E. Ashley Gerhard, rector of Christ church, will have as his ser- mon topic this Sunday 1norning, "Christ, the Way to Life." The serv- ice begins at 11 o'clock.
