September 29, 192& WINNETKA TALK HOLD DINNER MONDAY Chamber of Commerce Makes Exten- sive Plans for First Dinner Meet- ing of Fall Season There promises to be many vacant chairs at dinner tables in Winnetka homes Monday evening, October 8, that being the date of the first dinner and meeting of the season given by the Winnetka Chamber of Commerce. Few of the members are going to be absent, according to early reports received by Secretary B. G. Eberly, who is busy with plans for this session. Mrs. Anna Cooney who serves the dinners at Community House has promised a special feed for this occa- sion, and Secretary Eberly has planned to have music with the meal. This part of the program has been arranged through the kindness of the Milroy Music company, of 569 Lincoln avenue, which announces that the Vagabond orchestra has been engaged for the oc- casion. Ralph Seabury, the celebrated com- edy cartoonist, is to be present also to entertain with his comic sketches of Bill Wersted, Bob Doepel, Tom Lynch, George Parks, and other enthusiastic Chamber of Commerce boosters. The dinner will be served at 7 o'clock at the Community House. A short business session will follow but the greater part of the evening will be given over to entertainment. A busy season is ahead of the Cham- ber and future meetings will be taken up with civic matters. B. A. C.
