October 20, 1928 WINNETKA TALK Horace Mann to See Southwestern py | A motion picture assembly was held at the Horace Mann school Thursday of this week. The Indians of the Southwest were the subject of the picture. Next week at the Wednes- day assembly pupils of the Horace Mann school will hear Harold H. Lor- ing, a representative of the School As- sembly association, speak on the tra- ditions, customs, and present condi- tions of the Indians. He will bring with him a full-blooded Sioux Indian boy to sing and dance in costume. A similar program was presented at the Skokie school recently. Postmaster Offers Advice to Expedite Mail Service Since the change from Daylight Sav- ing time to Standard time it is neces- sary that Winnetka residents desir- ing air mail to be dispatched on the current date deposit the mail at the post office not later than 5 P. M., ac- cording to Postmaster Joseph C. Braun. There is a continuous increase in the demand for this service, and Post- master Braun says the Winnetka of- fice is maintaining its ratio of the in- crease.
