Matches The bowlers comprising the four teams of the Winnetka Triangle club are getting so good that they have challenged any north shore team to meet them, the match to be bowled on any north shore alley at any conven- ient date which may be arranged. The Triangle bowlers will select a team for this game from its four team member- ship. Their record at indoor baseball is not so good, however, as that at bowl- ing. They took up indoor baseball only recently and their tally sheet, so far, shows only a chain of defeats. The latest one was Wednesday eve- ning when S. Fell's team from High- land Park defeated them 14 to 9. The score was tied one to one, at the end of the fourth inning, when, with three opponents on bases, "Chick" McFadzean, from right field, heaved a wild throw to home, on which the three runners scored, giving the visi- tors a lead that the Triangles were never able to overcome. THANKSGIVING VACATION Thanksgiving exercises will be held at North Shore Country Day school next Wednesday morning at 2 o'clock, in the school auditorium. Mrs. Edward Rogers, 375 Chestnut street, gave a luncheon and bridge last Tuesday afternoon in honor of Mrs. David MacFarland of New York who is visiting in Evanston. An excellent well supplies an abun- dance of water, while Dame Nature has landscaped not only the five-acre tract on which the cabin is located but a vast area surrounding it, in a most appropriate wild, woodsy fashion, which will not only appeal to the fancy of youthful hikers and campers, but to the older ones who seek a quiet, restful day in the woods.
