November 24, 1928 WINNETKA TALK GREEN SELDOM LOSES Saturday's Game Brings Team That Has Long Tradition of Victory Dartmouth college comes to Dyche stadium this Saturday with an impres- sive record for the 27 past years of its football history. Since 1901 its teams have played 42 other colleges and have won 179 games, lost 40 and tied 12. While winning a large percentage of all their engagements, the Green teams have totaled 4,807 points to their op- ponents' 1,225. The team of 1925 probably made the greatest record of all, not being defeated or tied. The 1904, 1907 and 1924 teams also were undefeated but each was tied once. In each of fifteen seasons Dartmouth has suffered only one defeat, and in only four has a Green team lost more than twice. Yale is the only one of Dartmouth's opponents which it has never defeated. It has tied Yale once, in 1924, and lost to the Blue in 1926 and 1927. Jesse B. Hawley, of Chicago, was appointed head coach in 1923 :nd has developed teams noted for their of- fensive strength and scoring power. Dartmouth's records since he took over the mentor's job show: in 1923 Dart- mouth scored 203 points to opponents' 54; in 1924, 225 points to 31; in 1925, 340 points to 29; in 1926, 203 points to 64; in 1927, 280 points to 53. Jane Bulger, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Bulgar of 400 Sheridan road, is expected to return from the hospital this next week. She has been there three weeks following an opera- tion. Lewis Browne to Speak at the Uptown Forum The Uptown Forum, at its meeting Sunday afternoon, November 25, will hear Lewis Browne of New York dis- cus the subject of his book, "This Be- lieving World," which was one of the best sellers in the entire book world last year. The discussion will feature the part that religion has played in the history of mankind through the ages and among all races, coming down to the present time. Mr. Browne was formerly a minister of religion but is now a friendly but severe critic. His address will be followed by the usual question period. The Uptown Forum meets at the People's church, 941 Lawrence avenue, just east of Sheridan road, Chicago, at 8 o'clock. Two Speakers Will Appear at Next Baha'i Meeting Two speakers will share the pro- gram at the last of the November series of Baha'i lectures, in foundation hall of the Baha'i Temple, Linden ave- nue and Sheridan road, Wilmette, Sun- day, November 25, inst, at 4 o'clock. Dr. John Herman Randall will ana- lyze present world conditions and will speak more specifically on: "The Re- ligion of Tomorrow." Dr. Albert R. Vail will conclude his November series under the title: "The Greatest Books Ever Written." There, are no collections. Baha'i writings and publications may be ex- amined at the literature table in the hall at the close of the lectures.
