Spies- berger of 990 Westmoor road, has chosen December 5, as the date of her wedding to Jack A. Schram, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer E. Schram of Wilmette. The ceremony will be read by Rabbi Louis Koppald at 6:30 o'clock, and will be followed by a dinner dance at the Blackstone hotel. The bride-to-be's sister, Helen, will be her maid of honor and two young- er sisters, Laura and Marian, will act as flower girls. Mr. Schram has asked Richard Feuchtwanger to act as best man, Mr. Schram and his bride will re- side in Chicago after a honeymoon spent in Florida and Cuba. Mrs. Carl Bishop, 543 Chestnut street, who has been ill at the St. Francis hos- pital for the past two weeks, is now convalescing at her home. Her sister- in-law, Mrs. Frank Nickel of Toma- hawk, Wis, and her small daughter, Jean, are Mrs. Bishop's houseguests at the present time. Snyder Addresses Teachers' Club Prof. Franklin Bliss Snyder of the department of English at Northwest- ern university, gave the second of two lectures before the Wilmette Teach- ers' club at its regular monthly meet- ing in the Stolp school library Monday night. Professor Snyder's subject was "Art, Literature, and Contem- porary Civilization." The teachers' club is making plans for its annual Christmas dinner to be held at the Howard school next Month, probably about December 17. Peacock Motor Sales Newcomer in Auto Row The latest addition to Evanston's Chicago avenue automobile row is the Peacock Motor Sales, of which the proprietors are W. G. Peacock and Victor Klein. The company, which recently moved to Evanston from 7212 North Clark street, Chicago, is exclusive DeSoto agent for Evanston and the north shore. North Shore Debutantes to Be Mannequins at Ball Three north shore debutantes of this season, Miss Harriet Leonard of Win- netka, Miss Charlotte Picher of Glen- coe, and Miss Jean Stevens of High- land Park will be among the manne- quins for the fashion revue to be given as a part of the Arden Shore carnival and ball on November 30, in the Red Lacquer room and the Grand ball- room of the Palmer House.
