HARDWARE I> Center St. Phone 999 Ralph Morphett to Talk on John Bunyan's Life Under the leadership of Ralph Mor- phett next Sunday morning the Men's class of the Winnetka Congregational church will consider the life and works of John Bunyan. This week marks the tercentenary of the birth of this man who spent twelve years of his life in prison for trying to do what he thought was his duty, and who wrote a book which is second only to the Bible in its popularity. "John Bunyan knew the hardships of extreme poverty," reads a notice. "He had a very limited education, yet he was endowed with an imagination, with earnestness and sincerity, and with a zeal which has made for him a place in literature that is shared by Dante and Milton and a place in religious service that has no superior." SEE AUTOCHROME SLIDES Members of Winnetka chapter, Izaak Walton league, and their friends saw Dr. C. O. Schneider's new auto- chrome slides in colors last Saturday evening at Matz hall. The pictures are remarkably fine and drew frequent applause.
