y A A bd December 1, 1928 WINNETKA TALK Hobby Show Is Set for Scouting Units Early in January Something entirely new in north shore Scouting is planned, to be held during the early part of 1929, a Hobby Show, to demonstrate to parents and friends, the various things that boys are interested in. The displays will by no means be limited to Scout work, but will attempt to picture the all-around interests of boys in con- nection with school and home and church. Each troop exhibit will be separate and various Scoutmasters are endeavoring to have some one article from every boy in his troop included in the exhibit. It is expected that such hobbies as printing, leatherwork, handicraft, crafts- manship in the various metals, drawings, cartoons, literary efforts, etc., will be fully demonstrated. Each local troop is working out its own exhibit with a great deal of pride and will display it early in the forenoon on January 25, removing it at the close of the program that evening. It is planned that a feature of the eve- ning program, will be the awarding of Life, Star and Eagle Badges.
