W. Leonard of the Skokie Motor company of Wilmette, north shor=z Ford dealer. "I have just learned that the Ford company has scored a new mark in pressure production of the new Ford A. model" said Mr, Leonard. "Only a short time ago the daily production was 6,000 cars and now it has jumped one thousand." es oA LASALLE Sedan most marvelous <8 of Christmas gifts Imagine the thrill of such a gift. Evanston Branch 1810 Ridge Ave., Evanston Pair of Victories for Graham-Paige; Win in Australia Two performance victories in official contests in Australia have served to bring into prominence the Graham- Paige, a comparatively new comer, on the island continent, according to in- formation received by Carl Hanson of Hanson Motors, Winnetka Graham- Paige dealer. The Graham-Paige victories were scored in a hill-climb conducted by the Royal Automobile Club of Vjctoria, when two models, a 610 and a 619, won three firsts out of four and in a 900- mile reliability run under the auspices of the Royal Automobile Club of Queensland, in which a 614 model finished ahead of all other American entries, ending the run with perfect scores for mechanical reliability and time on controls, In the hill-climb contests, held near Melbourne, the Graham-Paige 619 gained first place for the fastest time made by any car, while first place on formula (based on engine displace- ment, car weight, and other factors to put all entries on an equal footing) was won by a Graham-Paige 610. Each competitor made the climb twice, and out of the four runs, Graham-Paige was first in three. Other competitors included the cream of British and Continental cars. Both Graham-Paige entries were strictly stock chassis, with bodies conforming to the rules of the contest. The reliability run covered a distance of 900 miles from Brisbane, Queens- land, to Katoomba, New South Wales, 65 miles from Sidney. The contest lasted six days. The Graham-Paige 614 model was one of only a few cars to finish with perfect scores for re- liability and time on controls.
