December 22, 1928 WINNETKA TALK 37 Borden's Cream Can Contribute Much to the Happiness of Christmastide At the approach of Christmas, each meal becomes an "event" of impor- tance. This is more than ever true if guests are present. Borden's Cream with its mild, pleasing flavor, adds delightfully to the success of each repast A Charming Dessert in Christmas Colors {Recipe and photo by courtesy Knox's Gelatine} Nut Souffle (6 servings) 1 level tablespoonful Gelatine; 14 cup cold water; 1 cup sugar; 34 cup milk or fruit juice; 1 cup cooked pine- apple and strawberries (or cherries) ; cup chopped nuts; 1 cup Borden's Cream, whipped; White of one egg; salt. Soak gelatine in the cold water five minutes and dissolve over hot water. Add dissolved gelatine to cream and sugar and fold in beaten white of egg. When cold add the pineapple and strawberries, which have been chopped in wi pieces. Serve ice cold in sherbet glasses and sprinkle with chopped nuts. Turn into mold lined with lady fingers and serve garnished with whipped cream, red cherries and green grapes. Fruit Salad Served With Borden's Cream (Whipped) Use any available fruits: oranges, grape fruit, grapes {fresh or pre served], cherries, canned pineapple, pears, apri- cots or peaches, apples, bananas, etc. Remember Borden's Heavy Cream whips in a minute -- serve plain or sweetened to taste. Baked Apple and Cream for Breakfast Baked apple and cream is one of those "simply perfect" flavor blendings. It goes well with dry cereal.
