Bien was going east on Pine street at about thirty-five miles an hour, when he hit Retzinger, who was driving south on Locust, according to the police. The Retzinger car was turned over and thrown on the sidewalk. Both cars were badly damaged. The drivers were not seriously hurt, Bien was arrested and charged with reckless driving. He was later fined $10 and costs.
