40 WINNETKA TALK December 29, 1928 Baker-Belshe Wedding Will Take Place on January 2 Marjorie Baker of Springfield, IIL, will be married to Ole Belshe of Wil- mette, on January 2, at the Abraham Lincoln hotel, Springfield. Mrs. Ruth Lemon of Kincaid, IIL, will attend her sister as matron of honor. The bridesmaids will be the Misses Mary Crathorne of Champaign, Ill, and Mary Louise Gobin of De- catur, IIL Mr. Belshe will be attended by his brother, Edwin B. Belshe of Forest City, Ark. as best man. Groomsmen will be D. W. Alexander of Des Plaines, and H. G. Magnussen of Highland Park. Miss Baker is a graduate of Mil- waukee Downer seminary and the University of Illinois, where she was a member of Chi Omega sorority. Mr. Belshe graduated from the University of Illinois in 1925 and from Northwest- ern University Law school in '28. He is a member of Beta Delta Chi and Phi Alpha Delta law fraternity. Miss Zabriskié was introduced to their friends at a tea and reception given by Mrs. Triggs and her daugh- ter Friday afternoon from 4 until 7. Those who assisted Miss Triggs were the Misses Theresa and Ada Rew, and Peggy Buck, of Evanston, Florence Byrnes of Wilmette, Paisley Ball of Winnetka, Mary Gillett of Kenilworth, and Virginia Herem of Chicago. Begin Rehearsals Soon for New Trier Concert Mrs. Marian E. Cotton, head of the music department at New Trier High Heads Golfers Harry Herb was elected president of the Wilmette Golf club for 1929 at the annual meeting of the club members last week. Other officers chosen to serve with President Herb are O. A. Bestel, vice-president; Lawrence G. Weaver, treasure, and George Dun- ham, secretary. Newly elected direc- tors are William J. Marshall, Walter P. Barnes, and Clifton F. Walker. school, will begin rehearsals soon for a Sunday afternoon concert to be given at. the school Sunday, January 20, as soon as classes are resumed January 7.
