re ad a FN WINNETKA WEEKLY TALK, FRIDAY, APRIL 2, 1915. VILLAGE OF WINNETKA. SPECIAL ASSESSMENT NOTICE. Winnetka Special Assessment No. 227. Notice is hereby given to all persons interested that the Village of Winnet- ka, Cook County, Illinois, having or- dered the improvement of the present roadways and street returns as far back as the street lines produced, of Lincoln Avenue from a line seventy (70) feet north of and parallel to the south line produced of Lot 9, Block 13, Winnetka Park Bluffs Subdivision to the north edge of the present roadway of Humboldt Avenue; also the present roadways and street returns as far back as the street lines produced, of said Humboldt Avenue from the west- erly line produced of said Lincoln Avenue (south of said Humboldt Ave- nue) to the east line produced of 'Bryant Avenue; also the present road- ways and street returns as far back as the street lines produced, of Prospect Avenue from the south line produced of Block 9, Winnetka Park Bluffs Sub- division to said line seventy (70) feet north of and parallel to the south line produced of said Lot 9, Block 13, Win- netka Park Bluffs Subdivision, said improvement - consisting of an as- phaltic concrete pavement two (2) inches in depth on a water bound macadam base nine (9) inches in depth, with a top dressing of granite chips one-half (%) Inch in depth, the construction of concrete combined curb and gutter, the laying of drains, the adjusting of present catch basins, manholes, water gate valve boxes and walk approaches, the furnishing of new cast iron covers for present catch basins, the cleaning, scarifying, grad- ing and rolling of the surface of the present roadways to be improved, all in the Village of Winnetka, County of Cook and State of Illinois, the or- dinance for the same being on file in the office of the Village Clerk of said village, and the said village having applied to the County Court of Cook County, Illinois, for an assessment of the cost of said improvement accord- ing to the benefits, and an assessment therefor having been made and re- turned to said Court, Docket Number 227, the final hearing thereon will be held on the twelfth day of April, A. D. 1915, or as soon thereafter as the busi- ness of the Court will permit. All persons desiring may file objections in said Court before sald day, and may appear on the hearing and make their defense. Said ordinance provides for the collection of said assessment in five (5) annual installments with in- terest thereon at the rate of five per centum (5%) per annum. Notice is hereby given to all per- sons interested that the Village of Winnetka, Cook County, Illinois, hav- ing ordered the improvement of Lin- coln Avenue from the north line ex- tended of Elm Street to the junction of Lincoln Avenue with Prospect Ave- nue, being a line seventy (70) feet north of and parallel with the south line extended easterly of Lot 9, Block 13, Winnetka Park Bluffs Subdivision, by paving the present roadway with brick to a width of twenty-four (24) feet between curbs, except that the pavement from the north line extend- ed of Elm Street to a line three hun- dred (300) feet north of and parallel with said north line extended of Elm Street shall be forty (40) feet in width, and from said line three hun- dred (300) feet north of the north line extended of Elm Street, the pavement shall gradually narrow to the width of twenty-four (24) feet in a distance of sixteen (16) feet; and by curbing, draining, constructing new catch basins, adjusting present catch basins, water gate valve boxes, manholes, sidewalk approaches and electric light poles, all in the Village of Winnetka, County of Cook and State of Illinois, the ordinance for the same being on file in the office of the Village Clerk of said Village, and the said village having applied to the County Court of Cook County, Illinois, for an assess- ment of the cost of said improvement according to the benefits, and an as- sessment therefor having been made and returned to said Court, Docket Number 226, the final hearing thereon will be held on the twelfth day of April, A. D., 1915, or as soon there- after as the business of the Court will permit.
