There was a large pumber of tables at bridge and the prizes which were given to the ber of ladies, who are interested in the Navy League. Mrs. George J. Greene. : An announcement of especial interest is the engagement of Miss Marion Keehn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George W. Keehn of Kenilworth, to Reed C. Landis, son of Judge Kenesaw Mountain Landis of Chicago, which was made on Tuesday of this week. Mr. Landis is at the present time in training at the officers' reserve camp at Fort Sheridan, and it is reported he has been recommended for a commission in the aviation corps. Miss Keehn is keenly in- terested in the Women Drivers' Special Service detachment, and is secretary of that organization. As yet no definite wedding date has been set, but because of the fact that Mr. Landis may be called soon for overseas service, the marriage will probably take place at some early date. A wedding of interest was that of Mrs. Emily R. Webster, widow of the late Dr. Edward H. Webster, ~ formerly of Evanston, to Mr. Robert . Cluett of Williamstown, Mass., which took place at 3:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the home of a daugh- ter, Mrs. Frederick H. Scott of Hub- bard Woods. The bride is 65 years old, and the groom, wh ois a retired member of the firm of Cluett and ~ Peabody of New York, has passed his seventy-third milestone. The ac- quaintanceship was made at the summer home of Mr. Cluett at Wil- liamstown, Mass., where the couple met through Mr. JJ. W. Scott, a brother of the son-in-law of the new Mrs. Cluett, who married a Miss Cluett, daughter of the groom.
