Recently in response to a growing demand for better centralized effort, headquarters have been opened at 634 Fine Arts building, Chicago, for the convenience, comfort and use of every member of the Federation. Here the technical business of the Federation will be transacted with greater accuracy and efficiency than ever before. Here too can be obtained all sorts tion matters. Mrs. Wallace W. Kerr, assist ed by Mrs. Donald M. Gallie, and Mrs. M. E. Barker, have been appointed to the Silver Jubilee Ex- tension Fund committee at the Wilmette Woman's club. Sixty thousand persons in Cook county are afflicted with tuberculosis. 5000 of these will die in the next twelve months unless the death rate of the past twelve months is reduced. Is it not worth while to offer a few dollars to reduce this death rate? Cook county holds the lead in Tuber- culosis work. One of the most interesting and sucessful programs ever given at the Woman's Catholic club of Wilmette, was that of last Friday afternoon. Dr. Preston Bradley of Evanston, well known on the north shore, was the speaker of the afternoon, his subject being "Joyce Kilmer", the poet.
