12 WINNETKA WEEKLY TALK, SATURDAY, MARCH 27, 1920 BATTERY "E" HAS BIG i RE-UNION IN CHICAGO Local Members of 333d Field Ar- tillery Turn Out in Full Force for Dinner Tuesday at Chicago Two hundred "buddies" of Battery E of the 333d Field Artaillery, made up of men from north shore towns and Evanston, held their first big re- union in the form of a banquet at the Palmer House in Chicago on Tuesday night. It was a gala oc- casion for the local youths, who were able, for the first time, to once more renew thrilling experiences with bunk-mates whom they hadn't seen since the battery was demobil- ized. John C. Slown of Kenilworth, who had charge of the "round-up" of local members of the battery expressed gratification over the manner in which they boys turned out and also at the success of these in charge of the affair in getting practically every one of the veterans together. It was feared at first that a number of the, ex-fichters would be unable to at- tend as many of their addresses had become lost, but through the efforts of the entertainment committee, the men were all notified. A number of unusual features were presented during the dinner and ac- .cording to the local men who at- tended it was "a bang-up affair." NEW TRIER STUDENTS FROLIC AT ROUGH-NECK PARTY New Trier High school students are just becoming composed after, their first outburst of supreme joy-' annual rough-neck day--held Friday, March 19, at the school building. Everybody who attended was clad in true rough-neck garments, from Miss Packer, assistant principal, down to the mildest freshman. The program opened with a minstrel show presented by the students and games, which resulted in New Trier annexing the honors in the heavy- weight division of the suburban league. Miss Casey, who was in charge of the entertainment, program, then an- nounced a umber of unique stunts by members of the faculty. In these exhibitions Messrs. Kahler, Hilde- brand and Glass received consider- able applause. Following the main entertainment, the rough neck party for the students took place at the gymnasium, where singing, dancing, music and refreshments completed the program. subject."
