I'S RU 2M UTUMN days bring announcements of Harvest Home | parties at country clubs, as closing events of the season, jo indoors. There will of course, be no let-up on the golf ROI courses until snow flies. The clubhouses will be transform- ed on these occasions with autumn foliage, grains and fruit, with the harvest note carried out also in the decorations of the tables. Peter Pumpkin and his many wives and neighbors, corn, turnips, gourds, grapes, apples and many other things that appease the autumn appetite, will decorate the tables. Indian Hill Country club has scheduled its harvest party for Saturday, October 2. Special golf matches will be on, too. Skokie Golf club will hold its annual Harvest dinner and dance on Saturday, October 2. North Shore Golf club is boasting of a new and most efficient cook these days, and many of the members are taking advantage of this opportunity to entertain. The Harvest Home party will not take place until the twenty-third of next month. & A 4 The Winnetka Woman's club takes pleasure in announcing a course of six lessons on "Our Government" to be given by Mrs. Abena Miller Rich of Hull House on Tuesday afternoons at 1:30 o'clock, from October 12 to November 16, at the clubhouse. This is a study class. The book to be used is "The Illinois Voter's Hand Book", published by the Woman's City club of Chi- cago.
