The guests of honor were the president of Wellesley college, Miss Ellen Fitz Pendleton, and the presi- dent of the board of trustees, Edwin Farnham Green, who is a prominent Boston engineer, 'and vice president of the American Woolen company. President Pendleton and Mr. Green came"on from Boston especially to be ~ present at this meeting," which launched in Illinois the campaign for funds that Wellesley is to make in the next few months.
