Friends are asked to visit and in- spect the work, bringing pounds of coffee, cocoa, sugar, beans, cereals or anything for table use. Since No- vember 1, the Shelter has provided over three thousand night lodgings and over twenty thousand hot meals, to needy women, women just out of Free Ward hospitals, old and help- less women, deserted women with their children hanging to their arms and hungry, half-clothed school chil- dren. Scores of missions feed the "down and out" man. How about the stranded woman and the hungry child?
