Miller, Jr. the police are hot on the trail of the elusive stray canines in the village. Superintendent of Public works Gibbon turned his inventive genius to practical use this week in convert- ing a dilapidated village refuse wagon into a dog pound with the consequ- ence that the police now boast a veritable kennel at the rear of the Village hall. Police will contiune in the business WILLIAM MARGERUM, LONG A RESIDENT HERE; DIES William Margerum, 654 Ash street, resident of Winnetka for many years and well known in the village, passed away , Wednesday, November 16 following a brief illness. Death was due to heart failure and bronchial pneumonia. Mr. Margerum was one of the vet- eran telegraph, operators at the Chi- cago Board of Trade. He was 69 years of age.
