On each box are the words, 'Merry Christmas from the Junior Red Cross." The boxes contain handkerchiefs, warm mittens, gay hair-ribbons and ties, fascinating crayons and hard candy packed in tin. Back will come letters of thanks, telling of customs queer to the Americans, then across the seas will go letters telling of our own queer ways. - High schools of this country are corresponding with High schools all! around the world. The Junior Red Cross acts as a clearing house and it is hoped that the small expenditure of stamps spent now will create a better understanding between the countries and cut down war taxes for coming generations. a The next regular meeting of the North Shore Catholic Woman's League will be Highland Park Day and be held on December 8, at the Winnetka Woman's club.
