TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: The said Court by order duly entered herein, having directed that notice be | given to the said defendants and to all! whom it may concern, by publication as by law required, in the Winnetka Weekly Talk, a newspaper published in the Winnetka Park District, in the | County of Cook and State of Illinois, | NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN that the | Winnetka Park District heretofore! filed its petition in the Superior Court of Cook County, Illinois, praying for; the ascertainment of the just compen- sation to be made for private property to be taken or damaged for use as a public park by condemning therefor the following described land, to wit: necessary labor -- OTOL That part of lot one (1) in the sub- division of block thirty-six (36) in Winnetka, being a subdivision of the northeast quarter of section twenty (20) and north half of section twenty- one (21) in township forty-two (42) north, range thirteen (13) east of the third principal meridian, in Cook Coun- ty, Illinois, according to the plat of said subdivision of block thirty-six (36) as recorded in the office of the recorder of said Cook County, Illinois, in book 60 of plats, at page 20, as document number 1842994, that lies south of a line drawn parallel with and forty (40) feet south of the north line of said lot as measured at right angles thereto, and westerly of a line drawn parallel with and seventy-five (75) feet southwesterly of the northeasterly line of said lot as measured at right angles thereto; also that part of lot two (2) in the subdivision of block thirty-six (36) aforesaid that lies westerly of a line drawn parallel with and seventy-five (75) feet southwester- ly of the northeasterly line of said lot as measured at right angles thereto, and for the improvement of said real estate by grading, leveling, smoothing and rolling the surface of the same so as to present a gentle slope from the easterly line thereof to the west- erly line thereof, by planting trees and shrubs along the southerly side there- of, by spreading top soil and cow ma- nure on the surface of the said estate, by seeding the surface thereof, and by constructing in said real estate a brick masonry water meter vault, con- nected by a lead service pipe to the present water main in Oak Street, in the Village of Winnetka, with necessary wrought iron union and brass water gate valve, and by draining the said real estate and by restoring to its present condition the pavement in Oak Street where the same shall be opened to. make necessary water pipe and sewer connections, and by providing cast iron lawn sprinkler hydrants and sprinkler service pipe on said real estate, including all necessary labor and materials, all in the Winnetka Park District in the County of Cook and State of Illinois, for the purpose of making said improvement, and of what property will be benefited thereby and the amount such benefit, the estimat- ed cost of such improvement being the sum of nineteen thousand, four hundred seventy-nine dollars and sixty cents ($19,479.60); that Commissioners were duly appointed by said Court to in- vestigate and report the just compen- sation to be made for private property to be taken or damaged for said im- provement, and also what real estate will be benefited by such improvement, and the amount of such benefits to each parcel of land benefited thereby, and that said Commissioners duly made a special assessment to raise the cost of said improvement, and duly filed their report in the office of the Clerk of said Court on the twenty-third day of De- cember, A. D., 1921. Thereupon a summons issued out of said Court against the defendants above named and ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN, returnable at the County Court House in the City of Chicago, in said County, on the twenty-fourth day of January, A. D. 1922, as is by law re- quired, which proceeding is still pend- ing. Fow, unless you, the said defendants, designated as ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN, shall be and appear before the said Superior Court of Cook Coun- ty, Illinois, at the County Court House, in the City of Chicago, in said County, on or before the twenty-fourth day of January, A. D. 1922, and plead, answer or demur to the petitioner's petition, or object to the report of the Commis- sioners aforesaid, the same and the matters and things therein charged and stated will be taken as confessed, and a judgment entered in accordance with the said report and the prayer of said petition.
