10 WINNETKA WEEKLY TALK, SATURDAY, AUGUST 5, 1922 WOMAN'S BOOKS Books announced for publication by Woman's Press during this Summer and early Autumn include much of general interest. "Do's and Don'ts for Business Women" popularize breezy talks by Jean Riche will be off the press early in August. Miss Riche's talks have already had great success in syndicated form. Much of the book is based on the hundreds of queries received by Miss Riche from girls perplexed about business rela- tionships. Miss Maude Royden's addresses made while visiting here last Spring are also to be published in book form. Already such interest has been ex- pressed in her broad and tolerant views that it is in answer to a wide- spread demand that the series are on the press. "Citizenship Studies" by Alice Standish Buell, is a book to arouse community interest and active citizenship. Mrs. Buell is director of the Law Reporting Service and an au- thority on bills and legislative activi- ties. A trio of pageants include "Canton Plurals" by Jean Paxton; "A Christ- mas Dilemma," by Catherine D. Ly- ford, and "Beau and Belle" by Thomp- son Arnfield. Problems of present day Christianity are dealt with by Lyman Abbott in "Lenten Meditations," "Wholeness of Christianity" by Charles W. Guilkey and "Funda- mentals of Christianity" by Alexander Purdy. : The Woman's Press has the dis- tinction of being the only publishing house, managed and fun by women. Its headquarters are at 600 Lexington avenue, New York. They are out of date--behind the times. AN ABC OIL BURNER in your furnace does away with all heating troubles. No more work--no more worry. Heat when you want it--as you want it. Simple as turning on an electric light. No matter what the outside temperature, the ABC will maintain even, luxurious, sum- mer heat all through the house. During the hours of sleep, if you prefer, the temperature may be reduced. Any oil that flows is suitable fuel for the ABC. You can use fuel oil, gas oil, distil- late or kerosene. We recommend straw- color gas oil because it never congeals in cold weather and is clean, cheap and plentiful. There is no oil tank in the house. The base- ment can be kept as clean and attractive as any other floor in the house. The ABC is used and endorsed by North Shore owners. (Names on application.) It is a radical improvement over all other oil burners, thoroughly guaranteed and low in cost. Coal will be high and hard to get this winter. Come in this evening, or tomorrow, or any day or evening and see for yourself what a remarkably efficient and economical home heater the ABC is. Oil Burner Sales Robert E. James Bryant E.
