WINNETKA WEEKLY TALK, SATURDAY, AUGUST 19, 1922 Royal Arcanum Next Monday night will be the oc- casion of an old time hot-dog party at the meeting of Winnetka Council 1131 of the R. A. Roasting weenies will be the headliner of the evening, togeth- er with games, and other entertain- ment, besides other things to satisfy the appetite and quench the thirst (we won't be able to have any real stuff as we've got a member who's a cop and it might be a trifle risky: however, we'll get something to sat- isfy!) The place will be just north of the water tower at North avenue on the beach at Brother Clarke's en- campment where he promises to have | a hot fire and cool breeze from the | lake and cold water for anyone who wants to swim. What's more, he has agreed to provide the rations and so you members don't bring anything but yourself and your good humor and spend an enjoyable evening. Games and entertainment will be on hand and if the stars don't come out, light has also been promised. We hope to have a large and jolly mem- bership out. The council's last outdoor meeting at Brother Meleney's home was suc- cessful in all respects. A large mem- bership was on hand, the business of evening was carried out, during which, we wish to announce to our members, Brother W. Klauke was elected col- lector, and Brother A. T. Weinstock, treasurer, for the rest of this year. After meeting games followed, and refreshments, spiced with songs and piano selections. HORTICULTURALISTS' DANCE A dance will be given at the Com- munity House, Saturday, September 30, by the New Trier Horticultural News 1 | series of brief articles on "Why | trade society.
