On the contrary, they grow more assiduous in their ef- forts to attract buyers. Alluring advertisements sent to newspa- pers with authorization to run them frequently and with no stip- ulation regarding space rates indi- cate a determination to get their goods across to the buying pub- lic regardless of expense or dan- ger of indictment. This paper has received an ad- vertisement from an Indiana firm whose letterhead announces in bold type that they are distribu- tors of Imported and Domestic Arms and Ammunition, asking that we run their display adver- tisement for "Military Automat- ics". The advertisement gives full directions for ordering guns of every description by mail and careful instructions to SEND NO ~~ MONEY with the order, but to Is It Worth While? 1 ik When you find that you tire easily, when happiness fails through head- ache, backache, nervousness--then ask yourself: "Is it worth while to wear harmful shoes?" Physicians assert that the bad ef- fects of wrongly shaped shoes are far-reaching. The unnatural posture induced by high heels throws the in-| ternal organs out of position. Result- ing troubles often necessitate opera- tions. The woman who would be at her best and brightest will wear Canti- lever Shoes. Their flexible arches, which conform to the natural action of the foot and allow the muscles free play, enable you to walk or stand correctly, with minimum fatigue, and eliminate all danger of weak or fallen arches. ; They stimulate--not retard--the cir- culation which brings to the cheeks a bewitching glow. They do not abuse the nerves which run from the feet up through the body even to the eyes. Knowing that your physical perfec: tion starts with your feet, you can take satisfaction in the thought that your Cantilever Shoes conduce to your health and charm, your youth- fulness and joy in living. Good taste distinguishes every de- tail of Cantilever Shoes. They exem- plify the fact that women and their shoes can be at once sensible and stylish.
