x WINNETKA WEEKLY TALK, SATURDAY, JUNE 16, 1923 . 11 Little Symphony to Play at Garden Tea and Musicale ORTH SHORE music lovers are planning to attend the Musicale and Garden Tea to be given Saturday afternoon, of this week, on the Italian terrace on the Daniel H. Burnham estate, Stockholm place, near the lake in Evanston. The affair has been arranged under the auspices of the Woman's Board of Northwestern Uni- versity Settlement, and all proceeds will go towards the Settlement work, of which Miss Harriett Vittum is in charge. Patronesses for the party will include Mrs. John Burnham, Mrs. George B. Dryden, Mrs Robert Lord, Mrs. Charles Little of Evanston, Mrs Mark Cresap of Kenilworth, Mrs. Frank Bersbach, Mrs John Nash Ott, Mrs. Allen Withers, Mrs. Douglas Smith, Mrs. Thomas Smith, Mrs. Rush Butler and Mrs. Harve Badgerow of Winnetka. Tickets may be obtained at the door or from Mrs. Frank Bersbach of Indian Hill. In case of inclement weather, the affair will be postponed until Thursday afternoon, June 21. Davis, of Glencoe, has chosen the afternoon of June 16, as the date of her marriage to Frank Jerome Morre, son of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore M. Morre, of the Evanston hotel. The service will be read at four o'clock, in St. Elisabeth's church, Glencoe. Miss Davis will be attended by her two sisters, Miss Dorothy as maid of honor, and Miss Virginia, as bridesmaid. Mr. Carlton Prouty and his thirteen- year-old son, Richard, will leave Win- netka June sixteenth for another voyage in their camping boat, Water Gypsy. The start will be made on the Des Plaines river at Wheeling bridge. From this point the Des Plaines will be descended for its entire length to its junction with the Illinois river at Dresden, Grundy County, Illinois. Then the latter stream will be followed to the city of Henne- pin, in Putman County. Here the Water Gypsy will turn her bow westward and proceed to brave the perils of the placid Hennepin canal for its entire length, emerging into the Mississippi river just below Rock Island. From here the voyagers will proceed south on the big river until the city of Quincy is reached, where they will pack and ship the boat and equipment and return to Winnetka by rail. This trip will comprise about 355 miles of combined river and canal, and will, weather permitying, occupy about two weeks. 2 The East Willow Street Circle will meet with Mrs. Arthur Dean, 441 Wil- o'clock.
