WINNETKA WEEKLY TALK, SATURDAY, JUNE 16, 1923 15 PHOTODRAMAS At Neighboring Theatres r-- Hoyburn Theatre ( i A cast of unusual excellence will be seen at the Hoyburn Theatre the first three days of next week in the showing of the film "Lost and Found," a play of the South Sea Islands. Among the stars who will flash across the screen in this production are House Peters, Antonio Moreno, Paul- ine Starke and Rosemary Thebe. The picture will be seen Monday, Tues- day and Wednesday, June 18, 19 and 20. More about the seas at the Hoy- burn next week-end. In fact, the en- tire week's program will have much to do with the_broad stretches of the ocean. For Thursday, Friday and Saturday, June 21, 22 and 23, there will be the Williamson Submarine picture, "Wonders of the Sea." This picture has been photographed almost entirely on the bottom of the ocean, battles with sharks, close-ups of oc- tupus, and weird, serpent-like fish. The film is characterized as "unusual, entertaining, educational." "Two -.good ones are coming," Manager Sturdivant announces in commenting on future programs at the Hoyburn. "'The Girl of the Golden West' is booked for three days beginning June 26, and 'The West Bound Limited', sequel to the 'Third Alarm" is scheduled to arrive on July 5. Also a picture of the near future will be Harold Lloyd's latest, entitled 'Safety: Last' Howard Theatre "The Man from Glengarry" is the leading picture for the Howard pro- gram on Sunday, June 17. A selected all-star cast is promised. On Monday, Tuesday and Wednes- day, June 18, 19 and 20, the Howard offers that wonderful photodrama "The Bright Shawl," with Richard Barthelmess and Dorothy Gish in the leading roles. "The Bright Shawl" is recognized as one of the great pic- tures of the year. There can be no question of the excellence of the stars, for the Barthelmess-Gish combination can work miracles with medicore ve- hicles. Ethel Clayton, the talented and beautiful, will be seen on the Howard screen Thursday, June 21, in "The Remittance Woman." "The West Bound Limited," star- ring Ralph Lewis, will be the feature production at the Howard on Friday and Saturday, June 22 and 23. Reginald Denny will appear in one of his "Leather Pusher" delights on those days. | - | Adelphi Theatre 4 "The Toll of the Sea," the first fea- ture picture done in natural colors, will be seen at the Adelphi Sunday, June 17. A real Chinese beauty as- sumes the leading role in this master production which abounds in beauty, oriental color and romance. Kenneth Harlan is the leading male character in the piece. An added attraction for the Sunday bill will be one of the de- rr lightful Reginald Denny "Leather Pusher" episodes. Lon Chaney, greatest character actor of the silent drama, appears at the Adelphi on Monday and Tues- days, June 18 and 19. "Fools First," is the interesting title of the feature film at the Adelphi on Friday and Saturday, June 22 and 23. A selected all-star cast appears in this production. Buster Keaton will pro- vide the comedy for the Friday and Saturday programs with his latest frolic characterized "The Baloonatic." r-- The New Evanston . St Tom Forman, famous as the director of Thomas Meighan's picture of life "Up the River," "The City of Silent Men," has recently completed another prison drama, "The Girl Who Came Back." Ivan Linow, wrestler and strong man, has been added to the cast of "Zara," with Gloria Swanson in the title role. Linow will play the role of a rough- neck Apache in the Paris scenes. Schulberg. The con- templated rest to follow her recently completed role in the Preferred Pic- ture, "Daughters of the Rich," is not going to materialize since three com- panies have been bidding hotly for a loan of her services during her period of idleness.
